We are supporting our local restaurants this weekend and trying a #dineoutvancouver menu 🤗. For those of you who do not know what this event is, it is a way to safely support your community’s restaurants with specially priced menus from $15-$54. There are hundreds of participating restaurants and the event goes until March 7, 2021 this year! So go checkout @dineoutvanfest and www.dineoutvancouver to look for a restaurant to try today 😉
This weekend we are trying the menu at Potluck Hawker Eatery @potluckyvr 😋
On the table is:
- ROTI CANAI: Flaky hand stretched pastry with curry dipping sauce
- LAKSA “CLAM CHOWDER”: Coconut lemongrass broth with celery, potatoes, clams, fresh herbs & torn milk bread
- LA-ING DUCK CONFIT ($5 supplement): Slow cooked and fried duck leg with coconut creamed kale, served with coconut rice, ikan bilis, peanuts, sambal egg, Malaysian turmeric pickles and shrimp kerupuk
- SALTED EGG YOLK LOBSTER ($15 supplement): Brushed with chili jam, and salted egg yolk butter, served with coconut rice, ikan bilis, peanuts, sambal egg, Malaysian turmeric pickles and shrimp kerupuk
- SEA SALT GULA MELAKA LECHE FLAN (GF): House made Filipino steamed custard with coconut palm sugar caramel
- ROTI CANAI: Hand stretched flaky pastry dusted with milo powder and condensed milk
We loved ❤️ the roti and all the dishes were so flavorful!! They even threw in some shrimp🦐 crackers 🙌🏼
