This restaurant came as a recommendation from a friend as one of the must try restaurants in Montreal. Located in the Plateau neighborhood at the base of Mont Royal, it’s streets are bustling with the energy from the close by McGill University, and the numerous establishments around the area. One very important tip…either take a cab/uber 🚕 or ensure you plan to get there early to find parking!! The parking 🚘 situation was a nightmare… it took us close to an hour to find a spot. Luckily, the restaurant was very accommodating and still gave us a table 🍽

There were some stand out dishes and one or two that we thought could’ve been better. We would definitely want to come back to try a few more things!

The atmosphere was hip and modern. The decor was minimalist with white table cloths and simple logo. We enjoyed the vibe!

We thought our waiter did a great job attending to us during dinner!

The dishes are a bit small but it was decent value for fine dining.

Garnished Oysters 🦪
Plain, cracklin maple jalapeno, and miso gratin
This was a great starter with tasty and bright east coast oysters. Our favourite was the miso gratin! It was like a high end... oyster motoyaki 😅😋
Second Course
Tuna Tartare, Egg Confit, Nori
Our server told us this is the best dish on the menu... so we had to get it! It did not disappoint!! The nori chip was crispy and well seasoned. The tuna 🐟 tartare with egg confit was delicious. This is the dish that we would get again, the next time we come back 👍🏽

Was this a tasty fish? Yes! Do we remember exactly what was on the plate... not really 😅. If someone got this dish before, please remind us what it was!!

Gemelli, Braised Veal Cheek, Mushroom, Foie Gras
Pasta, braised meat, mushroom and foie gras... what could you not like about that? The pasta was well cooked but we thought there could be more meat and mushroom in the dish. Also, the foie gras was freeze dried... so we weren't expecting that. I think this was our least favourite dish.
Fifth Course
Maple Syrup Square, Fresh Cream, Pecan
Another recommendation from our waiter! We thought this dessert was a bit too sweet... but it certainly made us feel very Canadian 🇨🇦 with the maple 🍁 syrup flavour!!
